Currently, Return Ministries is renting a small house with no indoor plumbing and too little space for their ministry. This is the home to 15 children , home parents and other caretakers. Church gatherings/meetings are held under a tent on this same small piece of property. The children make two trips a day to fetch water for cooking, drinking and bathing--water that must still be boiled before it can be used as drinking water. In addition to the 15 home children, Return serves approximately 300 children from the community whose parent(s)/grandparent(s)/or other family member(s) struggle greatly to provide basic needs such as food. Simply put: more space is needed.
The ministry wants to buy an Acre of land and is $ 150,000 dollars (300,000,000 schillings-Ugandan currency). --One-quarter of this is needed to secure the land for purchase (this is: $ 37,500)
Proposed Academy and ministry Centre
Once the land is purchased, a school and lager ministry Centre will be built to serve the community children that will be taught in the ways of the Lord and offer a quality of education that is not afforded right now in their current situation.
Further skills and education training will be provided in the new larger facility built on this land that will empower and change the lives , both children and the parents ( single Mothers) who are struggling with life.
This Facility will provide many more life empowering services to the entire community with the purpose to reverse the cycle of poverty and child abandonment by the fathers through our life transforming programs: and below are the programs to be implemented after this centre is Built.
Education
kindergarten to Junior high - targeting 1000 children 50% of the children in the school will be orphans and vulnerable children and the other 50% will be children from stable families who can pay school fees to enable the ministry earn income.
Health services to the community – The premise will have a clinic for our sponsored children and the community
Church - the premise will have a church for the community providing a fatherly role to the orphans and the single mothers in the community as well as reaching the entire community with the message of Hope
Life skills to empower our children from within to engage life As the only way to transform their community
